Awards Victoria’s programs create experiences that change lives as young people connect with their communities and are recognised for their achievements.
Each program is modelled on The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, giving young people of all abilities the opportunity to Volunteer in their communities, develop their Skills, join in Physical Activity, and embark on Adventurous Journeys.
With more than 56,000 young people registered in its various programs, Awards Victoria has the widest reach of any youth organisation in Victoria.
Established in 1963 as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Victoria, the organisation rebranded in 2009 to reflect the diversity of its personal development programs. Our core values – courage, community, innovation and integrity – underpin our commitment to providing equitable access and opportunities for all regardless of ability, social or economic circumstance.
Awards Victoria works with young people and over 350 educational institutions and community organisations. Each organisation collaborates with Government, community, business and other educational bodies to support their young people through the Awards. We support this process, providing training and resources to create long-term, sustainable community partnerships.
