The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s Gold Award Ceremony is held twice a year and continues to be a significant event celebrating the achievements of participants. In past ceremonies, the Gold Awards have been presented at venues such as Government House and Parliament house, and The Awards have been presented by the Governor of Victoria and HRH Prince Edward.
Now in its fifth year in Victoria, Dukes Week 2011 is about recognising the benefits young people bring to our community and for Awards participants to celebrate their effort, commitment and achievements, with funds raised going to the FLARE project. Examples of previous Dukes Week activities have included sausage sizzles, paper aeroplane competitions, talent quests and abseiling walls.
