The Challenge Award is a journey of development and discovery for people with a disability aged 25 and over.
Similar in structure to Duke of Ed, The Challenge Award invites adults with a disability to foster positive attitudes to learning and self development through a balanced program of activities.

The Challenge Award can be achieved over three Levels. To achieve The Challenge Award at any Level, individuals choose their own program of activities across four Sections:
Physical Recreation | Improve physical and emotional wellbeing
Skill | Develop the mind
Service | Connect with the community
Adventurous Journey | Increase confidence in unfamiliar places
Individuals undertaking The Challenge Award encounter new and challenging situations, meet new people and engage with the environment. It encourages self confidence, purpose, team work, community connectedness and healthy lifestyle choices. It’s structured to help motivate and encourage adults to pursue activities that promote Independent Living Skills.
