‘The Award has allowed me to really find myself, my values, my ambitions and the confidence to know that I can do absolutely anything in this life, if I work hard enough. What other program can offer you more than that?’
Catherine, Gold Awardee, December 2011
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is an internationally recognised program that invites young Australians aged 14-25 to realise their ambitions and to change their world.
All young people can participate, designing their own unique program of activities (over a set length of time) around their interests and passions.
Run in over 130 countries across the globe, Duke of Ed is entirely voluntary and is structured over three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Duke of Ed allows young people to move beyond their comfort zones and gain a real sense of achievement and self confidence. It’s available to all and is about connecting and developing. It’s not a competition; it’s a marathon, not a sprint; it’s linked to key educational outcomes; it’s flexible, balanced, progressive…and FUN!
