Want to do an Award?
There are just 4 easy steps:

1. Getting
    started

Register with an Awards Victoria Licensed Operator

Agree what level you will start with

Receive your Record Book or Online Record Books details

Click here to find your nearest Licensed Operator

Parental permission is required if you are under 18 years old

Payment must be made to the State Award Office

2. Decide your
    activities

Discuss with your Coordinator

Identify your Assessors and approach them

Set goals with your Assessors and decide which activity you will do

Let your Coordinator know who your Assessors are and what goals you are hoping to achieve

You do not have to decide on all activities for every Section of your Award in order to start

Your Coordinator needs to approve your Assessors

3. Start your
    activities

Pursue your goals… Keep doing your activities for the required time

For your Adventurous Journey, do the required training and practice, and do your qualifying journey

Try to keep a journal or diary of your achievements

Don't forget to meet minimum Award activities requirements – eg one hour per week

Remember to keep your Record Book up to date and to keep your Assessors and Coordinator informed of your progress

Take photos, shoot a video, record a sound track...

4. Assess your 
    achievements

When you've finished all the requirements for your activities, get your Assessors to do your final assessment of that Section

Await final assessment and sign off

Submit your Record Book hardcopy or Online Record Book data to your Coordinator once all Sections are completed by both you and your Assessors
