The Compass Award

Program of discovery

The Compass Award program encourages young people aged 10-14 to achieve four guided activities outside the formal school structure.

These include:

• a physical activity
• a hobby
• volunteering opportunities and
• a supported exploration of an unfamiliar place

In structure, it is similar to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award -  however, the time requirements are different.  There are four levels.  While it isn't prescribed where Participants start their Award, we recommend a 10 year old starting at Level 1 and a 13 year old starting at Level 4.
